@lor54_@SpaceSapienza@TinyGs@SapienzaRoma We are getting ready for the next satellites we are working on at the School of Aerospace Engineering! Thanks also to Lorenzo suggestions both of them shall use LoRa as a secondary comm system.
๐ฐ๏ธ As of yesterday, our LoRa GS "SIA_LoRa_GS" at the School of Aerospace Engineering @SpaceSapienza in Rome is live on the @TinyGS network!
Proud to join the community and help push satellite comms forward. ๐ก

On this day 11 years ago, at the School of Aerospace Engineering in Rome, we were following the launch of #UNISAT6, operated by Dnepr from Yasny base. 24 hours later, UNISAT-6 deployed #Tigrisat into orbit. After 11 years, Tigrisat is still doing well. Happy anniversary, Tigro!
@ma24th @moheriom Yes, but the one shown in the image is not Tigrisat. Both the structure and the components are completely different. Nonetheless it's still operational after more than 11 years
Arrived home just in time to quickly setup the antenna pointing to catch the SSTV signal of the radiosonde X4967827 launched by Liceo Malaspina in Pontremoli (Italy). Just few minutes before the mission ended. Luckily, my guess of the azimuth was pretty ok... @LuniSpace
@CX8AF I am currently using a different setup that is still not perfect. In particular I'm currently using a Pluto SDR because the Ettus has a problem... And that makes quite a bit of difference. But also the rest of the system (antenna connections in particular) is far from perfect...
