This is by far the craziest video from the fire in Los Angeles. This guy is filming huge walls of fire surrounding a house they're in, and there's another person and a dog. I have no idea why they didn't evacuate or what happened to them. Let's hope they're okay. #PalisadesFire

@TheGoldenBolt Positively ratchet and embarrassing behavior, especially in the midst of other creatives celebrating the inclusion of their characters in the game. The Astro Bot devs aren't to blame for Days Flop. I would say John Garvin fell off, but was he ever really on to begin with?

@MetroidTheorist I'm not big on NES Metroid because Samus doesn't control as fluidly as she does in later games, there's a whole bunch of copy and pasted rooms, and the performance is pretty rough. Metroid Planets by VacantShade is my idealized version of the game.

@MetroidTheorist @Siriacus2 I think there can be a bit of a danger in overthinking these things. I bet there's a chance the Space Pirates look different on a per-game basis just 'cuz Retro wanted cool new designs. Prime 4 might yet again totally skip acknowledging the whole Pirate species diversity thing.

@MetroidTheorist @Siriacus2 Regardless of your reasoning (which is interesting, I'll give you that), there's still no explicit lore outlining any planet or species specifics for the Prime 1 and 2 dudes. They're just referred to as Space Pirates. It's all conjecture until one of the games says otherwise.
