THIS JUST IN: A major step forward for TB diagnosis.

Nearly 3 million near-point-of-care molecular TB tests will be rolled out across 13 countries through a @GlobalFund-led initiative, supported by @CIFFchild and implemented by Aurum.

As Aurum CEO Prof Dave Clark notes, “What is most powerful about this moment is not only the technology, but also the ability to reach people with TB where they are, at the very first point of care.”

Great news: A major step forward in the fight against TB, the world’s deadliest infectious disease: 13 countries are preparing to roll out new near‑point‑of‑care (NPOC) tests, supported by @CIFFchild, @AurumInstitute and the @GlobalFund.

Our Aurum Institute Ghana team proudly represented us at the @GHS_Network Conference 2026, showcasing research from Ghana’s One Health antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance programme supported through The Fleming Fund.

The team presented findings on antibiotic use and the genomic drivers of resistance across human, animal, and environmental samples, highlighting the importance of integrated surveillance in addressing one of the world's most pressing public health challenges.
