President Biden and a group of bipartisan senators have negotiated a $1.2 trillion framework infrastructure deal that would “create millions of jobs for Americans and modernize the American infrastructure”.

This deal is significant because both parties involved compromised to reach a consensus. The initial plan is to spend the budget over 8 years. Further details will be further developed at the Capitol Hill. The bipartisan bill can only be done if there is a reconciliation bill.

With the slow decrease in vaccination rates, the US is projected to narrowly miss Biden’s goal of vaccinating at least 70% of the population by July 4th. Public health experts urge immunization to prevent another surge of COVID-19 cases with the emergence of the delta variant.
