Introducing our first ever QantasLink @Airbus A220, fresh out of the paint shop 🎨
The aircraft is set to arrive in Australia before the end of the year and is the first of 29 A220s coming to the Qantas Group as part of its domestic fleet renewal program. The next-generation A220s have double the range of the Boeing 717s they’re gradually replacing, use less fuel, and are capable of flying direct between any two cities or towns in Australia.
The first A220 features a striking livery design and is the sixth aircraft to join Qantas’ Flying Art Series, which has showcased Aboriginal art since 1994’s Wunala Dreaming in partnership with @balarinjidesign.
Around 100 painters worked on the livery for two weeks, which features 20,000 dots and is based on artwork by senior Pitjantjatjara artist Maringka Baker. Telling the Dreaming story of two sisters who travel across remote Australia together, covering vast distances to find their way home, the aircraft is named after the artwork “Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa - The Two Sisters Creation Story".
@Qantas@Airbus@CopyrightAgency Love our Flying Art Partnership with @Qantas Congrats to Qantas and to artist Maringka Baker, thanks to our studio team for another beautiful fuselage design and thanks @Airbus for an amazing paint application!
Adelaide Oval is looking to engage a South Australian First Nations Artist to create a visual artwork representing their reconciliation journey!

Most problems come from corporate greed. In every industry. Everywhere. In politricks. Everywhere. We’re in wars because of greed. People are barely staying afloat because of greed. Been fighting against greed my whole life. Part of the reason I started making my own independent
One of those most uplifting events I’ve been to tonight; celebrating @IceFactorSA. And I spent it with the inspirational crew from Le Fevre High School.
This morning I joined the Deputy Premier Susan Close and a group of students from Le Fevre High School to check out the inaugural Navy and Shipbuilding Careers Expo at the Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal.
More than 3000 South Australian students and jobseekers have already registered for the expo that is on from today until Sunday.
We want to have a coordinated approach to develop high-quality education for South Australian students that draws upon the fantastic partnerships that we have with the defence sector here in SA.
This expo provides students with a great opportunity to help visualise the amazing opportunities that will be available to them in coming years.
Seth, who recently secured an apprenticeship with ASC, said it best when he said an opportunity to work on the ships would be “sick” 🤟

Sasha and I are deeply shocked and saddened by the death in Vienna of our friend Helena Carr, wife of former NSW Premier Bob Carr. For us Helena and Bob were indivisible. They were co-pilots in a rich life including through Bob’s long career in politics. The closest partnership.
More than 5.6 million Australians voted “Yes” in last week’s Referendum for the recognition of Indigenous Australians in our Constitution and a “Voice” to Parliament and Government on matters concerning them. Those millions are a good base to build upon for change in the future.
