Glad you said something, but knowing you Mike it probably wasnt very diplomatic 😂
Their curation strategy is very inclusive, as in they don't "judge" design, and there is a market fairness to that which i respect. But yeah it also means its just gonna fill up with garbage...
What would be your proposal to help fix the problem?

You honestly cant save Framer template creators from themselves... Their time in the safety of the v1 marketplace has completely warped their realities.
@design_megha@ui8 Save this to your checklist 0.01% revenue on each download. Except to make about $2 in sales per template.
UI8 all access royalty model provides ZERO profit to template creators
The number of Framer creators who cant even creator a basic portfolio site with permalinks to each of their individual templates baffles me. Like do they not understand the basics of SEO and the interweb?
Its no wonder the Framer marketplace changes wiped out an entire generation. These template creators have no basic understanding of how to build their own template portfolios.
We love supporting creators in the shadcn ecosystem and we’ve sponsored HEAPS. But it’s gotten to the point where we’re being intentionally left out of organic lists and resources, and then getting requests for paid placements... Lame.
@KirkMDesign The year is 2021. You’re a front end dev. The designer designs everything by hand and then yells at you constantly because it’s not “pixel perfect” and they are completely oblivious of the real constraints of the web medium.
Munch - Nextjs & Astro Template
Restaurant site with priced menu items, calorie counts, and a cart that persists in the browser. Next.js and Astro — a full sitemap, not a hero kit.

@BowTiedStack Wrong. The thing you want in your CTO is a hardcore backend dev who knows AWS, Infra, architecture.
They dont have to do this work. but that needs to be their background.
THey need to be technical and battle hardened.
Only then can they disperse and delegate AI strategy.
Actually thats fair @alaymanguy - Just because im not familar with these CMS doesnt mean they are AI slop. I think i visited the studiocms site and it kinda gave me indy git based cms vibes just from the design, then i lumped all your suggestions together because I incorrectly assumed you were unable to determine quality.
I retract that. I am not familar with all 3 of our recommended CMS and they might be great.
I come from an era where there were like 4 headless cms, contentful, sanity, etc and im not up to date with all the newcomers and that biased my views
I'd love to understand how the CMS you put forward are "AI Native" and what that means tho, how does that make them superior to say Sanity?
DesignMe left Framer for Astro and now edits its whole site through Claude. "We ask, review, and ship." That works when whoever asks can also review what changed. Most founder sites are edited by someone who can't read a diff, and for them the Framer canvas is the review step.
@alaymanguy@seb__design@basehub_ai Because @sanity_io is an exceptional, code first, decoupled, flexible headless CMS that has been in development since the early JAMstack era. Its an exceptional headless CMS.
To compare it to AI slop coded git CMS is a tragedy.
