WINNERS AND THEIR SUMMERS WORKOUTS

With summer workouts beginning Monday, I thought it would be a good time to discuss 2 types of people. The 2 types are 1) Average Andy and 2) Winner Willie. Let me explain what I mean and how both get to workouts.
Average Andy:
Saturday - no thoughts of summer workouts
Sunday - stray thoughts of “dang summer workouts start tomorrow.’ I have to be there at 7:30, I can leave at 7:20 and make it. I will wake up at 7:15.
Monday - Hit the snooze button, dread getting out of bed (actually say to self “its summer time, why am i doing this?”), roll out of bed, put clothes on and stumble out of the house and arrive late, claiming “I aint late!” Success…… NOT even close!
Winner Willie:
Saturday - already thinking about Monday's workout, anticipating getting the summer started and somewhat excited to show up and get better. A little concerned about what we will be doing, what time I will need to get there, what time I will have to get up…..
Sunday - thoughts continue to run amok about Monday's workouts… Design a plan to make sure I am early because the coach always says “To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is, well……terrible.
So Winner Willie starts with:
I want to be in the field house at 7:15!
I live 10 minutes away, so I will leave at 6:55 so I have time to account for bad traffic, car problems, walking to the field house from my parking spot….
I will need to eat breakfast at 6:30 because I know that is the gas that my body needs to run on and is most healthy for me…..
So I will set my alarm for 6:00 and when it goes off, I know I have 18 seconds to
1Put my feet on the floor
2Get my butt off the bed
3Get my body in the shower
This is the best 3RM of the day! If I hit the snooze button I am a loser. Coach says “Snoozers are Losers!” I am no loser!
This way I have plenty of time to take care of my business, have a winning start to my day and be the best that I can be
Monday - ACTION, LET’S DO IT! It's already been done in the mind 20 times, knock it out! Winners Win! Losers Lose! I will start my day with the 3RM of winners!
