In high school volleyball action today for the @UnderLights365 teams:

7A North
@HewittAthletics goes 2-0 to clinch a state tournament berth for the first time since 1989. The Huskies knocked off local foe Hoover in the first match to start off their incredible day.

@Thompson_Vball knocked off Vestavia Hills in the opening round. The Warriors will face @BJHSVolleyball Thursday morning.

@AustinHigh_VB capped off a 2-0 day and will take on Hewitt for the top seed at state.

5A North
John Carroll started strong with a win over Lawrence County in the opening round, but Arab proved too tough in the second round.

5A South
@BCSLions_VB is headed to state after winning both its matches today. They'll be back in action tomorrow for seeding.

Getting started Thursday: 6A South featuring @chelseahighvb and @JAGVBALL & 6A North featuring @HWDVolleyball and @MBHS_volleyball.
