RIP to Glen Hansard. I had the privilege of seeing him perform live- solo and opening for EV and PJ. You will be missed in my household. 💔

My son’s teacher posted this photo from field day. Look at my son’s running form. Proud papa seeing him do this when I wasn’t there coaching or watching. He’s applying lessons we talked about!
For performance, the tortoise really does beat the hare.
A big new study looked at 34,000 elite performers found that:
Early success rarely predicts adult achievement.
Exceptional young performers peaked quickly but narrowly mastered one thing.
Exceptional adults reached their peak gradually. They engaged in broader, multidisciplinary practice early on.
I so badly want a “full effort” from my kids. Which to me means trying and remaining focused all game. I don’t care if they are good or bad if they win or lose. Great article reminding me not to coach after a game or discuss what happened. Can’t want it more than them.
How do you help your child become a champion?
Chill out!
Here are 9 lessons that I wish every parent knew when it came to supporting their child’s athletic and academic pursuits: https://t.co/eLKXjqoBp8
Passion Takes the Crown
Phil Dalhausser & Trevor Crabb (Palm Beach Passion) defeat Smith/Webber (LA Launch) 15-12, 16-14 to capture the AVP League Championship in Chicago. 🏆
Blaze on Top.
Julia Donlin & Lexy Denaburg (Brooklyn Blaze) defeat Brandie Wilkerson & Melissa H. Paredes (Palm Beach Passion) 15‑10, 15‑10 to win the AVP League Championship. 🏆
@AnthonyIrwinLA Modern players lead the retired players by a wide margin in drawn fouls. This is today’s NBA. Brunson, Giannis, Emblid, Luca, Harden all do it. It’s a scoring style allows players to rest and game management/analytics to occur. It’s a thing. It was different in previous eras.
When immobilization produces atrophy, it does this by a reduction in muscle protein synthesis rates and NOT by an increase in muscle protein breakdown rates. This shows that the cause of atrophy is the absence of a stimulus and not an actively catabolic process.
@Challenger_ST@Plyomat I’m loving my @plyomat been using the 1.0 model for a couple of years. I love the CT and Vert test quick modes for both interest and intraset feedback. Really builds intent. Go get em!
