@sillysyntax This is an important thread! I feel like no sim-sub is such an out of touch practice or so dismissive of writers' needs. You expect me to sit on a story and wait for 2+ months for a 99% chance of getting a form rejection? In what way is that okay?

@sillysyntax I definitely hope so! I try to keep in mind that it's not a race, but impatience and dissatisfaction win out a lot of the time 😅

@sillysyntax Especially when certain people are publishing like 50 pieces a year, getting nominations, securing other opportunities in the writing field, etc.

@sillysyntax I think these are important words! I also have a lot of anxiety about publishing quickly. I sold my first story recently, and I'm happy about that. But it's hard (especially as I near 30) not to feel disappointed with the "progress" of my writing career 😩
