@metrotrains I'm finding the info on the website difficult to understand - are outbound trains still running from the city and just not stopping (so passengers getting off at e.g. Belgrave can stay on the train), or the train doesn't run at all & we have to do train > bus > train? Thx! 🙂
CW: mental health stigma
.
Disgusting that a major news outlet thinks it's acceptable to refer to an inpatient mental health unit as the 'psych ward' which trivialises the experiences of patients and the care provided by medical and allied health staff there. Do better.
DEVELOPING: A piling rig has toppled over at Frankston Hospital, smashing into the roof of the building.
The hospital's psych ward is being evacuated following the incident, with no injuries reported at this stage. #9News
Autistic women on the diagnostic process, surveys & interviews, free https://t.co/b8KN1BFfJ4 quote from 1 participant: "When I got my report back from my diagnostic process and that was like literally 15 pages of deficits, and I felt really low for a couple of days after that..."
Update! My husband pointed out to me that I had written it in the calendar already, including the start time. Crisis averted! 🙌
(Now I'm just hoping I got the time right when I wrote it on there, because there's still no easy way to check 🥴)
Taking advantage of anonymity on here with an #ADHDconfession. I've lost the invite to an old friend's upcoming wedding for the THIRD time & too embarrassed to message & ask for start time again. Seriously considering just camping out at the venue all day until others arrive 😅
(Is #ADHDconfession / #ADHDconfessions a hashtag already? Because it should be.)
Oh and before anyone suggests it, I don't know any other people going so can't sneakily ask someone else!
@neuroninas I should point out too that most of the clients I see are ND and so often I naturally reduce my level of eye contact to match theirs anyway; it's part of attuning to them. 7/7
@neuroninas ...but when the situation becomes more complex - more people, more stress, more distractions, more processing required - I can struggle. A lot of the things people think are constant/static challenges for us really vary depending on stress levels & cognitive load. 6/

The rest look too large.
Also, the long, skinny tines of 3-6 are scary af.
@strawberryautie Awww. You're more considerate than me. 😅 Our cat seemed to know we were sick before it even showed up on RATs - she barely left my lap the first couple of days I started getting symptoms, and then same with husb a few days later.
