@yuu_yuu_to true maturity isnt just being "fair". its having a consistent moral compass. judge right from wrong the same way, whether cruelty comes from west or east. its easy to call it hindsight bias and make biased excuses. its harder to see the truth clearly without picking a side.

true pride is having the strength to take their help without bowing to them, and knowing exactly who they are. you can be grateful for the rescue without letting their charity control your memory or rewrite their crimes.

@yuu_yuu_to if their aid makes you start praising the nation that killed hundreds of thousands, you are letting them buy their way out of history. you think repaying a favor is pride, but an empire doesnt want your repayment. they want your forgiveness.
