The science shows that natural kratom leaf is safe. The FDA's own commissioned study confirms this. A rigorous dose-ranging study found that controlled servings of dried natural kratom leaf—even at high servings—were well-tolerated with zero serious adverse events.

Local leaders are listening to the science, listening to constituents and taking a well thought out approach to natural kratom regulation.
The following cities recently passed sensible kratom regulations:
Rolla, Blue Springs, and Independence, Missouri: All three cities passed regulations explicitly banning harmful synthetic products and limiting natural kratom sales to 21+.
Ontario, California: Successfully passed kratom regulations to protect adult access to natural kratom leaf.
Mount Clemens, Michigan: Instituted a responsible age-gate on kratom sales.
This is exactly what the Global Kratom Coalition fights for every day. Regulations that protect consumers and protects access to natural kratom leaf.
Thank you to every advocate and lawmaker who was involved in this process.

This was a calculated hit on our plant. Massive outcry to keep it legal vs a handful of people wanting to ban. I hope Connecticut is ready for the new black market they just created. Let the ODs begin. So sad. #KeepKratomLegal
LA City Hits Pause. As the State Considers Natural Kratom Leaf Regulation
Good news from Los Angeles: The City Council committee has officially decided to defer their decision on the proposed resolution to support LA County Department of Health's effort to ban the sale of natural kratom.
Why this matters: Instead of rushing into a local decision, the Council has chosen to wait and see the outcome with a state bill which seeks to regulate natural kratom products.
This is a victory for smart policy. It means local officials are looking to the state to set a consistent standard rather than creating a patchwork of local regulations or bans.

The FDA is taking action to protect public health by initiating the process to schedule concentrated synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) opioid products.
The FDA made clear that natural kratom leaf is not the focus of this action. The focus is on the new wave of concentrated synthetic 7-OH opioid products that are 13 times more potent than morphine and are available in smoke shops and convenience stores across the country. Knowing the difference could save lives.
