Shame on #Ruter! Employees manhandled my husband yesterday and extorted him for a 1,000kr fine, even though they validated he had paid the monthly fare. He just couldn't "activate" the card because the machine wasn't working. Other passengers even protested their behavior. #Oslo
My eyes nearly crossed, watching the tube of lipstick clenched in a sticky toddler fist as it approached my face. She daubed it on my upper lip, then my chin. "Pretty!" She exclaimed.
I glanced in her barbie mirror. "Hmmm. Not bad. I've seen worse." #TrickyTues
"Just wait, soon you will find me so enticing you'll no longer be able to resist my charms."
"Great. Should I come back in say, twenty years, and check on how that's going?" #SFFAskew
"That's a well-made sling."
"Thank you, I was always the best at bandaging in medical school."
"I'll bet you were. So, no pressure or anything, but it's actually my other arm that's broken."

#authorconfession A hotel fire, and before that a bunch of emotional stuff...misunderstandings, heartbreak, yadda yadda. Hotel fire is all I've got for now. I had a ton of emergencies in the first book. Already feels like this won't have the momentum that the first one did.
"All he had known in life was to feel hunted, and all he dreamed was of the gallows. Well, he survived it - all of it, and he got his pardon. Why can't you let him be?" #LoveLines
D15 #AuthorConfession after two years of floundering starts and stops on book #2, I have restarted, re-plotted, and hit my min goal of 1k a day long enough to finally call it a writing habit. Up to 24,000 now. Good to be back in the saddle!
#Thurds "You've certainly got a way with words," she said.
"Yep, and I'm great at spelling, too."
"Mmmm. Don't stop...tell me how good your handwriting is."
#authorconfession 1. I worked in a furniture store and found an abandoned doll. I cut its hair and glued it to the bottom of the phone receiver & waited for my co-workers to answer. The hair went straight in their mouth. Many cursed in surprise with customers on the line. So bad.
A hiatus from Twitter usually signals a hiatus from #writing for me, but this time it was for a good reason! Tristan Joey was born March 15, and is already plotting his first novel. #amwriting again soon...I hope.
Come storm season in Louisiana proper, the lonely east wind'd howl it's sad sorta hollar as clouds rolled in, fat as sassy ticks. The air'd get too thick to breathe and the sky'd bruise all black and blue like God beat his chest 'til he bawled tears enough to drown us.
