And there was a small chance that they were alive, dead, or tortured slaves. While Rudeus loved ones died/killed or left him due to his bad choices and the Man-God's actions.

He quit being an adventure, married Zenith, begged Philip to offer him a job so he can live a peaceful life with family.

@Demiscores @Oledtn @Lord_Hokage_PTS How did Paul had it worse? Only his family was missing due to the mana disaster. Also, he had a slim chance of finding them alive, dead or tortured like slaves. Meanwhile Oldeus loved ones died/killed or abandoned him due to the Man-God and his indecisiveness due to trauma.
