I believe everyone should have a voice, be seen, be acknowledged and valued. After reading through my decades-old journals, I decided to self-publish my memoir. My goal was to make an emotional connection with other women who my have a similar story to my own.
@shedoesthecity I self-published a memoir last June about coming of age in the 1970s in Toronto. It is titled, "Insatiable Annie: Reckless and Loose on the Streets of Toronto."

I received a terrible review on Amazon.
"This book is of the utmost disgust! This terrible human thought she could write about other people's trauma and make money off it is sickening!..."
This person has not only disparaged my book but my character as well.

@ThatEricAlper I first started buying 45 RMP records in the late 1960's, then there was 8-track tapes, then came the albums. My first album was the Marvin Gaye ( I love Motown).
@MarylewisMcrae Depends on the writer. I really don't give a shit what people think of my recently self-published memoir. I fulfilled a lifelong dream and I am glad I put it out there.
