I wanted to see if I could build it from scratch.
Also, I felt ClassMate, the version built with Notion, belongs in my Gumroad store.
Finally, I decided to submit ClassMate to the Notion Template Gallery. It was approved by the Notion team yesterday.

I made ClassMate using a no-code platform called Notion.
Initially, I wanted to submit it to an online hackathon and solve problems that college students face, such as tracking their courses, classes, assignments, resources, personal habits, and long-term planning after college.
Then, I couldn't figure out a good way to upload the code to GitHub because the HTML code kept revealing personal links in the downloaded file, and also didn't display all the work I had put into the databases.
After that, I began writing ClassMate's code in HTML and JavaScript.
I didn't even put all the code in separate files because I wanted to submit my project on time, and that's why it mostly says HTML in the GitHub repository. :)
This weekend, I also participated in an online hackathon hosted by MLH.
The idea was to make a web app to track your water intake.
This was how Droplet was born.
Droplet is a web app that tracks your water intake and offers a visual progress bar to keep you motivated.
Due to the time limitation, I decided to scrap the backend and only submit the frontend code, making changes to it so that it stands on its own.
The app was created with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The making of the app was challenging to say the least. I spent the 48 hours writing the frontend code and tinkering with the backend code in Python using Flask, but kept running into an error.
I built Stride with ICP this weekend. It's a daily steps tracker app built with Motoko, HTML, CSS, and some JS.
Deploying and debugging this app was challenging.
I spent more than a week writing the code and trying to get it to work, and then it finally did.
I was overjoyed.
@NotionHQ has come up with new ways of turning down templates. It's weird because my template doesn't contain any pictures or videos. Here's what they said:
The following is the explanation of our reviewer: the attached pictures or videos do not meet our standards.

Weirdly enough, I have been trying to get the Chinese planner on their template gallery for a year. When I told them that I was following all the steps highlighted in their support email and it still didn't solve the problem, they just closed the support ticket.
Idk what to do.
My launch is halted because @NotionHQ's support team hasn't been responsive or supportive enough.
I haven't been able to list my Chinese and Korean versions of my Daily Planner to their template gallery.
Even when I'm submitting the templates in the right queue, zilch.
I made the Daily Steps Tracker, after building the first version called Daily Steps Calculator with additional functionalities like saving multiple walks, and helping someone save and complete their daily steps goal.
This is my final project for CIP 2025.
