I think I’m starting a #mentoo movement. Often when I go to see a band I’ve been touched in inappropriate ways. In ways I would never touch a woman I didn’t know. It fed my ego and I simply smile and walk away. Guess I’m supposed to bring my lawyer with me now. Foolishness!
Bill Hybels, they were not abused. They had a choice. Satan gives valid reasons to entice us to be right. They are right and the church is in disarray. Who won?
@JeffCagwin @Chelseaker@WheatonCollege@edstetzer@NancyLBeach It’s his greatest opportunity to show us he believed what he preached. Oh the lessons he could teach other leaders. In the end it may have always been about him.
@LoriAnneThomps2 @Chelseaker@WheatonCollege@edstetzer@NancyLBeach Nancy knew. She was silent. Vonda was the one God could use because she had courage. Some hitch to others trains. This should have come out long ago.
@NancyLBeach Thank God for Vonda and other women of courage. You knew. You knew him well. You were silent. Don’t hitch your car to another movement someone else started. Do you!
@Chelseaker The key is not to fall into the same trap or the mold the world expects from you. Many of our great leaders have. When we think we are “a voice” it’s our ego.
For over thirty years you taught me well Bill Hybels. I defended you, admired you and thought God was using a cheap smart Dutch guy to revolutionalize His Church. We all sin and hurt others but your lack of stepping up and owning your sin taught me more. It was always about you.
