Check out my little, lyrical novella I wrote for word lovers like you!
A linguist, a lake monster, and the looming shadow of death—news of an unknown creature in the New Bedford Lake coincides with news that Natalia’s cancer has returned.

I wasn't sure I could even log into this thing anymore. Came back here to see health updates on Rick Harsch, chief editor of my publisher – Corona\Samizdat Books. I hear doctors are hopeful after he had a stroke. I'm keeping an eye out for most posts on his condition.
I don't often post about which books I'm reading but these arrived today from @CoronaSamizdat , and I feel compelled to note it has one of the most interesting catalogs around if you choose to step outside a NYTBR comfort zone.
@normiewrites@Nickyshearsby22 Your alpha readers are going to help you with either developmental edits (big picture/character development/plot changes) or structural edits (think of this as scene editing and restructuring).
Betas will be helping with line editing (better sentences) & maybe even proofreading.
@Nickyshearsby22 Well, I think the betas come pretty close to the end of the process, right? I'm in a writer's group, so I've got alpha readers too! My alphas help with structural edits and line edits, depending on the project. I do developmental work on my own and a final line edits with betas.
Thanks to the editors at Carte Blanche Magazine for publishing "Conclave at the Tea Table," my story told from the perspective of a little girl's teddy bear. 🧸☕

I revamped my website last week. It looks much better. I'll add improvements. Shoot me a message with any ideas, critiques, compliments. Thanks!

Sitting down to write this morning and I see an acceptance letter in my email. I hadn't submitted anything this year until this month, sending out a few on the 5th and the 10th. Glad to see one of them accepted already. #publishing#amwriting#fictionwriter
@faultyharb In my lifetime the word "gay" is no longer tossed around casually as a pejorative adjective. Thanks, Hilary Duff for helping make this possible!
I'm just stopping by to do a quick wellness check. Ok, Twitter is still X and writers still reside here. Gonna go get me some coffee ☕️and work on writing now. #amwriting
@JFLhere OMG, I've been in some bands. Escape from Fiction (later changed to EFF!), Red Letter Days, and Flaming Doll Heads. I used to make up tons of band names and am revising my novel about a fictional death metal band.
@kbo_coyote@JudithLWebster *Yawn* 🥱
Non Sequitur much, dude? No one asked about self-publishing. What's up with the religious zeal self-pub kids have with talking about self-pub. It's like they're trying to convince themselves it's so much better to sink ones savings into their books.
@zoiya_morell I observe people and their behaviors and create fictional stories in my head. So kind of, yes. But, like, do I plant friends and family into my fiction? No.
@jodyjsperling Yeah. I need to redesign since I don't really use the blog function anymore. All that type of effort is (for me) best put into social media. It's nice to have a page though with bio, book links, and list of publication.
