I just finished an all-day writing retreat, & made massive progress! Woop! …Hardest thing after a big writing day tho is starting again. That’s why my retreats don’t end here — tmrw we write one tiny bit more. Big steps AND little steps. Both. That’s how we move forward.

Today is one of those days where I am devastated by the thought of all the books I’ll never get to read.

I have 2 weeks off before I start a new job in the new year. Should I rest? Or pretend to rest but actually work on both of my books, try to launch a small business, reorganize my entire apmt, & reach out to every friend whose call I missed over the past 6 months?

It’s really cool when your story starts transcending the page. That budding flower? It reminds you of that one scene. Is that cedar? It smells like the bff. The colors in that glass art work? It’s somehow the story’s entire arc.
