Gave so many books to a teacher friend today after clearing out bookshelves. She's gifting them to all of her students, many of whom don't have books at home and have no access to the library due to covid.

If you have kids' books you don't need, always offer to a teacher. ❤

@SheaBallard I think if it's done, it needs to be done carefully. Subtle things, like dropping the g of ing or the d off and, can add some nuance to the character, but going to far down this road can impede reading. I have DNF'd books because of written out accents because it was too much.

@byMorganWright I like both honestly. A part of me would like to write more standalone because there just aren't many out there it seems...but I understand the market reason for series 🤷‍♀️

@SheaBallard I describe day to day clothes just once, it is less important in my world. There are scene specific clothes though - flight clothes, given clothes, gala gown, that sort of thing that get a little mention.

NaNo was a success, and thank goodness I got there when I did, because I am STUCK. Part of MC's path out of final encounter was use of the royal guard. Big bad got defeated, but in doing so, MC got arrested. For something she did. Now I can't get her out of it 🤣 #writerproblems
