@TheRightMelissa @DiligentDenizen @RealCandaceO I’m not sure I 💯 agree with your take on Erika, but addressing her is not my intent or place. My point was pushing back on the idea that minimal public grief is the biblical ideal. Scripture affirms grief in the face of death with hope, but not without tears and sorrow.

@TheRightMelissa @DiligentDenizen @RealCandaceO Correct, we grieve with HOPE as we know death on earth is not the end. It does NOT mean we don’t grieve at all or with tears. Jesus even wept with Lazarus’s death. It’s important to read the Bible as a complete work and not to support narratives and misrepresent God’s word.
