For years, my plea to save the Devi River Mouth has gone unheard. Today, on the first day of nesting season, the situation is alarming. @CMO_Odisha @MohanMOdisha, will you intervene to protect these vulnerable turtles?

The Olive Ridleys, a Schedule-I species, face grave threats as 38 trawlers operate illegally in the restricted zone at Devi Rookery—one of only six global mass nesting sites. Despite Supreme Court directives, illegal trawling continues due to improper enforcement of #OMFRA and corrupted local officials involved with trawler owners.

After 12 years of witnessing these creatures struggle for survival, it’s heartbreaking to see no protective action.

Let’s raise our voices and ensure the Olive Ridleys have a safe habitat free from illegal fishing.
