@komocode @Pirat_Nation your DLC point doesn’t rebut mine. if anything, it proves that the used market affects publisher behavior. my point is that physical resale creates a competing market Sony and publishers don’t control. If a game is $15 used but $60 on PSN, I can just buy it used

@komocode @Pirat_Nation bad example because you compared a platform (playstation) to a storefront (steam). logic dictates you need to compare platform vs platform, so PC vs playstation. PC has multiple storefronts (steam, GOG, GGG, the list goes on), playstation has 1. do you have another example?
