All Autistics are human - not all humans are Autistic.
Autistic characteristics are human characteristics & not deficits - just differences demonised in a bid to purge society of ‘undesirables’ & lighten the ‘burden’ on society.
Embrace Neurodivergence - accept neurodiversity.
Watching adults choose assumptions over conversations and conflict over clarification is frustrating.
Advocacy should be about understanding and improving outcomes, not scoring points.
Some of it feels more like emotional immaturity than meaningful change.
@TomK_Brit1993 Sociopaths can be difficult to read. This example of a human - imo - is one of the worst to be allowed to lead a country. His actions are why we have become “Bend over Britain”
@PaulaMc007 And what I meant was - learning that there are companies charging £200 plus per head - typically 30 attendees and paying £17 per hour to the lived experiences trainers is sickening.
@SteveSalterPGA@Tesco I don’t buy supermarket meat. I go to my local butchers where I can choose which piece I have and examine it before I buy - because it’s not hermetically sealed into plastic. Yay
@DrHoenderkamp I’m a late discovered AuDHDer & not knowing my neurodivergent identity and instead being wrongly labelled odd and attacked by other children who decided that my neurodivergent characteristics were to be eradicated by destroying me with emotional & physical abuse almost ended me.
@DailyMail You do realise it’s April. Autism acceptance month - not autism assault!
At the very least you could share Autistic insight direct from the Autistic community.
@ClarksonsFarm1 I’m not sure. I feel the information we are given access to doesn’t reflect reality so how can anyone make a fair comparison? What I would say is - we seem to be best at bending over, letting whoever wants a shot at slapping our 🫏 then doing absolutely nothing about it.
