After Trump elevated anti-immigrant & anti-Latino rhetoric, we had the deadliest anti-Latino shooting in modern history.
After anti-Asian hate w/COVID, Atlanta.
Tree of life. Emanuel AME. Buffalo.
And now after an anti-LGBT+ campaign, Colorado Springs.
Connect the dots, @GOP.
@MeetThePress@oneunderscore__@oneunderscore__ you looked so sad throughout this whole report, and rightfully so. Hoping you get to look at pictures of puppies or watch whatever your comfort show is after a day like today.

Anyway, if you're an autistic person who falls outside the culturally accepted 'look' of autism (ie. not a cishet white man with a penchance for trains and numbers), then please know I love you and also we're spectacular 🤗
If you stand for racial justice, you must hold space for the self diagnosed in the disability community.
You cannot honestly look at the statistics of those who are denied care and respect in medical settings and think that diagnoses are easily accessed by the marginalized.
Y’all...I have HUGE news!!!
I’ve signed with #PresentPerfectLiteraryAgency to represent my first book “‘If I Were You I’d K*ll Myself’ and Other Disabled Compliments.”
So excited to be working with them on this.

They withheld FOOD AND WATER from Michael Hickson for SIX DAYS because doctors said his life wasn’t worth living.
I keep thinking to those two white doctors holding up that protest sign that read “what if we ignored people when they said they couldn’t breathe.”
Disabled people, specifically Matt, predicted this.
Here’s something else you need to hear from the disability community:
Research the medical rationing guidelines in your state. It’s getting to that point. Be prepared.
Accusing disabled people of 'defending Trump' because we ask you to stop mocking him in an ableist way is the height of bad faith and I think you all know that, actually.
J.K. Rowling’s comments last week have been gnawing at me. I’m nonbinary. I write for all kids but I’m especially aware of how young trans or nonbinary readers might’ve felt seeing her words.
So now I’ve said some of my own, in this op-ed for @TIME.

@QueerlyAutistic I appreciate this thread. As a cis-het Autistic woman, Autistic Pride Day makes me uncomfortable. I fully believe Autistic Pride Day should exist, but the timing is definitely wrong.
Every fucking time you use ableism to address a public figure, you delegitimize your platform in the eyes of disabled people.
If that’s your instinct, I don’t trust you.
But “intersectionality,” right?
