🚨 Luis de la Fuente: “I honestly don't understand why you ask me about the controversy surrounding the referee in the Argentina vs. Egypt match. Where did that even come from? I watched the game and I thought the referee got everything right. I’d actually like to congratulate him because every decision he made was spot on.” @DAZN_ES 🇦🇷🇪🇬
🚨 Didier Deschamps praises the performance of French referee Letexier [referee of the Argentina vs Egypt match] and hopes the Argentine referee will be at the same level tomorrow.
"I hope the referee will be as good as Mr. Letexier and his assistants like in the match of Argentina and Egypt. My opponent is Morocco, not the referee" @RMCsport
Maybe I'm just not as shameless as other people but Argentina definitely didn't rob Egypt today let's all be honest for once. They might rob their next game but they won fair and square today.
@deepfryer27@ElvisIbadin@AbsoluteBruno Man, in no world would that ever ever be given as a penalty. Alvarez never tripped salah, Alvarez leg was standing when Salah moved forward to trip himself.
If you're still arguing that that is a foul then honestly I am arguing with the wrong person.
🚨🗣️ Bacary Sagna on Egypt’s disallowed goal: “It’s a FOUL, there’s contact, he stepped on his foot. The VAR did well.
“Referee? His game management was SUPERB, I'm comfortable with the decision, there’s a contact.
“As much as I celebrated Egypt’s goal, it’s a foul [on Lisandro Martinez]”.
@deepfryer27@ElvisIbadin@AbsoluteBruno Clear trip? Salah had lost the ball already.
Have you seen last ditch tackle before a stricker kicks the ball to score? 90% of the time when the defender gets thr ball, the striker trips of is also hit. That's also nevr a penalty since the defender gets the ball 1st.
@ParRouMiri@fraudiesta1 If you had blue tick, i would have ignored you and say it's just rage bait.
But you don't have it. You're actually genuinely retarded OMG.
@deepfryer27@ElvisIbadin@AbsoluteBruno I guess you're talking about the 3rd goal. Absolutely no foul on salah. And if you knw and understand football, that should never be given as a penalty.
@ElvisIbadin@AbsoluteBruno That's how VAR works Sir. It gets involved only when it leads to a goal. If after the foul, Egypt got on thr counter, then Argentina recovered the ball and seconds later loses the ball and concedes to Egypt. It won't be a foul because there was a turnover.
@AbsoluteBruno Man, and you will say you "watch" and "understand" football?
It happened so fast, so yes, the refree might have missed it. That's why VAR got involved, because it directly led to a goal
But you can't review it from the stands angle and say it's not a foul. It's ridiculous.
