These were definitely more over the top, more so than most mainstream horror games. But I don’t think anyone’s saying they were inherently sexualized.

The reason the death scenes are censored like this is because game journalists saw the gruesome death scenes in the first Tomb Raider remake and said, "Yeah these are inherently sexualized deaths."

TL;DR - Some game journos have a weird gore fetish, got uncomfortable, so now we can't have violent deaths in Tomb Raider anymore.

Look, people. You don’t have to agree with @Sebbywebz’s takes on the Remake trilogy or the state of the mainline FF titles. If you disagree so passionately with him to the point of sending death threats, just block him and move on, even when it’s obvious he’s baiting a response. Final Fantasy is not that serious to where a police report needs to be filed because you are easily provoked.

You cannot, however, deny his passion and love for the franchise and genre, and wishes Square would return to what he believes made Final Fantasy such a powerhouse in the first place. It’s mostly why he criticizes it so hard.
