@bourscheid Because homelessness is not caused by a lack of money. It's caused by a horribly destructive set of personality traits and behaviors that makes them "un-housable".
If you give 100 homeless people a million dollars each, 95 of them will be back in the gutter in 12 months.
@RealPostFolder Had she done it for a couple of months before telling him the truth, i could perhaps understand it... but 20 years, is fucking psychopathic.
Just because IQ is a cold hard fact of life, that influences life outcomes to a large degree, does not make it the only valuable metric, or a guarantee for success for any one individual - and no one has claimed that.
However, if you compare one million people with an IQ of 70, compared to one million people with the IQ of 110, you will understand why Japan is flourishing and Somalia is not.
It's wierd that the UFO-design, progressed from simple metal saucers to the highly complex crafts recent UFO disclosures has shown us.
One could think that the outer design of the ships would not change that drastically for a species that has managed interstellar travel.
@NeilJacobs In all fairness: Mark Cuban made all of his money selling vaporware during the peak of the dotcom boom, and should not be considered being a big thinker.
@_The_Prophet__ Im 42 and have just started (2 so far, but more to come).
I do however agree with everything you said. It should NOT be encouraged as a general principle, and I realize that I'm just lucky to have avoided the tons of pitfalls that would have created a _much_ more dire outcome.
@BitPaine What if... the Oddyssey is _really_ about the public reaction to the casting of the movie?
Many years from now it might be the definitive point where woke and trans died on the public stage. Where the plebs stood their ground and forced the orcs back to mordor?
@Alleninvests Because increased ownership of the network does not increase your influence over the network - unlike all other economic systems that ever existed.
The idea is that production cost for everything will plummet close to 0 (no salaries involved in the supply chains).
Which is true, and will inevitably lead to extremely low prices... unless the politicians invent new taxes, rules and/or prints tons of money.
But the politicians would never do that, right?
