@LunareProd13@Jeremy_Ridgeway@iky_fwjett Assuming Roman Catholic? They have a problem with that among other things because it lost grace at an institutional level when the papacy departed from the Church 1000 years ago.
@LunareProd13@Jeremy_Ridgeway@iky_fwjett God is the judge of that. The question is whether the soul is disposed to the reality of Christ revealed as God at the final judgement. He is all merciful, but if the soul does not want rest in Christ, it wonโt be forced upon them.
We hope and pray for the salvation of all.
@LitSlap@ThomasTeyssier1@Timcast 3 marriages is truly rare and extreme oikonomia. 1 is the norm, divorce is not acknowledged, and even widows are encouraged to not remarry if it is within their strength.
russians and greeks are both fully orthodox. thereโs a disciplinary excommunication over leadership dispute.
@AndrewOlding @KingMic92357513 @PatriotsTLH@Timcast Nope, unfortunately the Papacy departed from the Catholic Church almost a millennium ago, so weโre no longer in Communion.
@RoraRose81@jdgapp@Timcast There is grave spiritual danger in that, though, because we can so easily delude ourselves in isolation. Look at all of the cults with insane beliefs that call themselves Christians (youโre already familiar with the Mormons). The Church keeps you grounded in true faith.
@RoraRose81@Timcast Iโm sorry your experience of organized religion was the Mormon cult. Try the Orthodox Church, the one established by the Apostles of Christ 2000 years ago. They are holy places. Hospitals for the soul. The liturgy and sacraments impart grace that is not available anywhere else.
@Timcast Common problem in the Roman Catholic world. Itโs too shallow and the faith has been corrupted over the centuries. Inquire into Orthodoxy (the original Apostolic Catholic Church) and may the holy fire of paradise consume you!
@Jeremy_Ridgeway@Golden_Eagle___@iky_fwjett Creation is still full of mystery and things we havenโt even begun to understand. God the Word spoke the world into existence. Amazing. Not denying any of that. Itโs even more amazing if itโs truly real and not a dream.
@Jeremy_Ridgeway@Golden_Eagle___@iky_fwjett I agree itโs impossible that itโs insane to fathom the universe and that we even exist at all. But I absolutely do believe it is real and created by God Himself, not an illusory simulation.
And sure, our perception does affect reality, but that doesnโt mean we live in a computer
@idontfwyoug@Jeremy_Ridgeway@iky_fwjett Because itโs the best thing you can possibly do in this life, especially if you are suffering from vice (we all are in something or another) like drug addiction.
@Jeremy_Ridgeway@Golden_Eagle___@iky_fwjett It works as an analogy to bridge simulation believers to Christianity, but theyโre fundamentally incompatible. STโs denial of objective reality and claim that the world is illusory renders creation & the salvific reality of Christโs incarnation, death and resurrection meaningless
@Spiritual_Trad@Jeremy_Ridgeway@iky_fwjett Man, if i didnโt know better I would think Jesus Himself must have done something to personally offend you to get that kind of reaction. Is there something wrong with converting to Christianity?
@Jeremy_Ridgeway@BazaritoDorito@iky_fwjett Yup. Former staunch atheist here too. Felt the need to arrogantly correct anyone who even mentioned anything related to God. A heart filled with pride cannot see God, even though he is literally everywhere and fills all things.
