Dear students,
You will become the great surgeons, cardiologists, OBGs of tomorrow. Pls remember-
1. Antidepressants are not addictive.
2. Depression/Anxiety won't go away just by asking a person to be strong.
3. Saying that stop psych meds in max 2-3 months is a bad advise
We have a lot to learn from aviation - for eg - Surgical checklists have their origin in Aviation checklist.
Their training is similar to ours - governed in hierarchy but at the same time emphasis on saying no to seniors.
And not penalising the junior.
However cliched it may seem, some generic pieces of advice need to be repeated and resurfaced every once in a while.
Not everyone has the same level of exposure. What's generic gyaan to you is probably a life-changing thought for someone.
