Si j'ai bien compris, le Président Tshisekedi a fait tout le voyage jusqu'à Nairobi juste pour dénoncer l'"agression rwandaise" (sic) dans les..."couloirs", en catimini, alors qu'il y avait une session plénière toute dédiée aux questions de paix et de sécurité?

Je rappelle d'ailleurs que le Président Tshisekedi était prévu comme l'un des orateurs dans cette session sur la paix et la sécurité, co-présidée par les Présidents Ruto et Macron. Cependant, non seulement ne s'est-il jamais présenté à la session, mais aussi personne dans sa délégation n'était présent sur le siège de la RDC pour présenter la position congolaise.

Donc, il faut qu'à un certain moment la cellule de communication de la présidence congolaise arrête de raconter des mensonges.

“a word given cannot be perpetually broken, and the brazen contempt for human lives cannot endure.” No one can argue with this - but above the noise, this is the reality:

The Government of the DRC remains the #1 backer of FDLR, which is an existential threat to Rwanda. No matter how many lies and resources are invested into propaganda to distract from DRC state sponsorship of the FDLR, this problem is not going away.

One-sided sanctions unfortunately only serve to embolden the Government of the DRC in its insistence on a military solution. The result is what we see now: prolongation of the conflict, escalation of violence, lost opportunities and importantly, lost lives

Also not going away is the internal situation in the DRC: the AFC/M23 is fighting persecution based on the policies of the Government of DRC that support proponents of genocide ideology (the recent inflammatory rhetoric by FARDC General Ekenge on national TV is one of too many examples) - this is the root of the extremist ethnic violence which threatens our whole region.

These facts cannot be distorted or overlooked in the search for a solution to the crisis.

The way forward to lasting peace and progress is already laid out in agreements reached in the past year, including the comprehensive Washington Accords, but the DRC appears more interested in continued war than in implementing its obligations in the peace processes.

Parce que Kinshasa ne m’invite pas. Si les Congolais m’invitent, je m’y rendrai. Je sais à quel point la RDC est un pays d’une grande importance pour notre organisation. Il figure d’ailleurs parmi les tout premiers bénéficiaires des programmes mis en place par l’OIF, en matière de budget pour l’éducation et la culture, la paix et la promotion des genres.

La Fondation Panzi, de Denis Mukwege a été subventionnée dès 2020 dans le cadre de notre projet « La Francophonie avec Elles ». Je traite donc la RDC comme un pays membre important qui doit avoir toute sa place dans l’organisation. Maintenant, si les pays règlent leurs problèmes bilatéraux au niveau du multilatéral, on ne va pas s’en sortir.

The delegation included representatives from the commerce, ICT, tourism, and automotive sectors. The discussions focused on investment opportunities in Rwanda and areas of collaboration between the two countries.
