Clearly you don’t understand how an API works. If you unlike a post it sends a request to Instagram removing that; and if Instagram can recognize you’ve done that enough to delete the notification in their own app and other apps can delete OS push notifications in similar or adjacent situations then your argument is null and they can just like other apps remove it.

Not a nice use of this iOS feature considering it bypasses when people mute or suppress notifications for an app, as it still then prominently/normally delivers them, as you can see below.
