La primera parte del comunicado del Real Madrid es impecable: la FIFA no puede disponer unilateralmente de los ingresos futuros del fútbol sin contar con los clubes, que son quienes soportan sus costes y riesgos.

Por cierto, ¿por qué ha tardado tanto en responder? ¿Qué hacía Anas en Nueva York durante la semana de la final? ¿Y será casualidad que, según parece, JP Morgan estuviera también en esta operación, como ya ocurrió con la Superliga?

A partir del primer párrafo , el Real Madrid vuelve a construir su relato sobre CVC. La operación fue voluntaria: cada club decidió libremente si se adhería. El Real Madrid no lo hizo, no está vinculado y no tiene comprometido ni un euro de sus ingresos. Fue una decisión adoptada por una amplia mayoría de los clubes, precisamente en ejercicio de la autonomía que el propio comunicado dice defender.

Resulta bastante contradictorio que quien critica que otros clubes comprometan ingresos futuros haya pignorado ingresos del Bernabéu, haya dado entrada a un fondo durante veinte años en la explotación de determinados negocios del estadio y lleve cerca de un año proponiendo fórmulas para permitir la entrada de inversores en la propiedad del Real Madrid.

La doctrina parece sencilla: cuando lo decide libremente el Real Madrid, es modernización y estrategia financiera; cuando lo deciden libremente los demás clubes, es una hipoteca.

Y, por cierto, qué obsesión con LALIGA. Quizá tenga algo que ver con ir perdiendo demandas y querellas una tras otra, año tras año, y con presentar denuncias que tampoco han conseguido “aniquilar” a su presidente.

El “ser no tan superior” tiene ya poca credibilidad para dar lecciones sobre el futuro del fútbol. ¿Recordáis cuando la Superliga venía a salvarnos porque el fútbol estaba arruinado? Qué visión.

Thoroughly amazed by the way Roony Bardghji played in yesterday’s game. He was oozing with confidence every time he touched the ball.

Unstoppable cutting inside and getting his shots off. Constantly got on the ball and ran at defenders fearlessly. His aggression when taking on players was very refreshing to watch, as opposed to the final period of last season. Aside from the poorly taken penalty, he was absolutely outstanding.

Hopefully he can sort out his future soon, because a young talent like him deserves regular playing time to get to the next level, and he’s just not going to get it here, unfortunately.

A lot of the local Valencian media is strongly pushing Barça’s interest in Guerra. Could be a ploy to get the most money out of him, but I think it’s worth talking about.

For starters, Guerra definitely isn’t a like-for-like FDJ replacement, he’s much more of a proper box-to-box profile - someone who’s especially excelled closer to goal in recent times.

Works very hard on and off the ball, which Flick will appreciate, and he does give us a physical boost. All in all, I rate him very highly as a player and a profile.

But where does he fit in at Barça? I wouldn’t see him displacing Fermin-Olmo further forward, nor being the right kind of pivot to partner Pedri. Great player, very valuable profile, but I’m not 100% sure he’s what we need.
