Paige went to Coachella, the wnba draft in nyc, and Croatia plus who knows where else this week----and it's taken me 3 business days to put my laundry away. It just makes you think
The snake in Genesis didn't come hissing. It came asking questions. Looking concerned. Sounding reasonable. Discernment is learning to hear the agenda underneath the question.
Jesus’ harshest words in the gospels wasn’t towards prostitutes, other religions, or undocumented immigrants.
Jesus’ harshest words were towards the rich and religious who used God’s words to justify exploitation and oppression.
Yet many want us to believe the opposite.
I have been helping families in Venezuela for 10 years and anyone who hasn’t been there or in close contact with people there have no clue. People are just addicted to being mad. Well while ur mad, Venezuela is happy for the first time in 25 years.
In the Bible, the roles of priest and king were always distinct for a very important reason.
The priests served God directly.
The kings ruled the people.
Only one figure was ever meant to unite both roles:
the Messiah.
When King Saul tried to step into the priestly role,
he was rejected.
When Uzziah tried to offer incense,
God struck him with leprosy.
Even David, the great king, never claimed the priesthood.
Because power and holiness don’t mix casually.
Only One was worthy to hold both the scepter and the altar.
So when Jesus came the first time,
He came as a priest, offering Himself as the sacrifice.
When He returns, He comes as a king, to reign in righteousness.
Until then, His followers are called to be priests, not rulers.
To serve.
To intercede.
To lay down our lives.
Not to dominate culture or conquer governments.
All dominionism does is repeat Satan’s temptation:
“All these kingdoms I will give you, if you bow down…”
But Jesus didn’t take the shortcut then.
And we shouldn’t take it now.
The cross comes before the crown.
Suffering before glory.
Faithfulness before rulership.
Modern Christianity has become just another brand.
Tribal. Political. Prideful.
So many today are obsessed with power,
trying to “take back” the world,
seize control of nations,
and build Christ’s kingdom for Him.
But the true Kingdom doesn’t come through seizing power.
It comes through surrendering all.
