היום הודיעו שאמא שלי מקבלת פרס מפעל חיים של אקו"ם. בגלל שהיא זקנה מצחיקה היא כתבה בקבוצה המשפחתית, "זה שהגעתי לגיל 91, זה כבר סוג של מפעל חיים."

היא תצלצל אלי אחרי הטקסט הזה ותגיד לי, "אני מבינה שכתבת את ההספד עלי," אז כדי שיהיה ברור שאנחנו חושבים שהפרס הזה הוא רק ההתחלה, אני רוצה לציין שהיא גם עושה את הבלינצ'ס הכי טובים במזרח התיכון, גורמת לנינה שלה לצחוק עד כאב בטן, יודעת יותר מכולנו בחידוני טריוויה, ובעיקר אנחנו יודעים שיום אחד היא לא תענה לנו לטלפון, ונהיה מאוד מודאגים, אבל אז יתברר שהיא שוב התחילה לכתוב משהו.

גאה בך מאוד אמא שלי, מזכיר לך רק שהרבה זמן לא עשית לנו "מאקוש טאצטה". זה שאת סופרת דגולה וכלת פרס אקו"ם למפעל חיים לא אומר שלא מגיע לנו איטריות מתוקות בחמאה, מקורמלות בסוכר, עם פרג וצימוקים.
