@satyanadella extremely well put. I have been saying this, not as elegantly - we cannot rely on the disclosures of frontier LLMs alone:
1. These harnesses need to be constructed so that third parties can get involved in observability and transparency..
2. As we get there we also can imagine users (enterprises) wanting to adapt the guardrails to their values, principles and business practices. One cannot imagine a global set of guardrails owned by the model creators.
3. No real business will be able to implement the enhanced capabilites of models if they remain black boxes, auditability, verification and compliance are essential premises to ensure that businesses can continue to operate showing duty of care.
4. Information securty architectures are consistent over decades, the AI architectures need to make room for us to be able to interface seamlessly, at speed and consistently - today all attempts by us are jerry rigged and band aids because we are trying to adapt to the speed of the model providers. If the AI industry doesn't support the simultaneous capability of the security industry things will stall.
5. To foster the diffusion of AI at speed and build trust we need to have momentum behind the conversation just initiated by Satya.
@elonmusk, dear, because I greatly respect you, let me say this. Cozying up to the likes of @RahulGandhi will not escalate a Starlink license. But further delay it.
Companies all over the world successfully do business with India. As you know, foreign partnership starts with respect for the country and its leadership. Rahul lacks respect for both his own country and PM Modi. He is bad company.
And “the other guy” is one of the greatest and most powerful leaders in the world today and will be governing India a long time. You want a license? I suggest shifting your public messages to the attention of PM @narendramodi and not wannabees like Rahul.
Congrats on your award today, BTW. Thank you for all your contributions to our great country. 🇺🇸
For years, the H-1B system was a lottery. Every applicant had the same odds, whether the job paid $80,000 or $200,000.
That wasn't merit. That was chance.
Prioritize visas by wages and skills. Set a real wage floor. Protect American workers.
If we’re bringing in the best and brightest, the system should actually reward the best and brightest. 🇺🇸
@bcherny “Waiting for API response” is scaring our claude code users away. 20s is not enough for thinking models. This message adds no value if it simply goes away in 3 more seconds but scares using by saying retrying in 2m 34s
The AI Gateway is critical to driving security outcomes for our customers. We will shortly announce full integration which is currently underway and the team is working furiously on new capability. We are big, we might be slower than a startup, but we try to make up with quick decision making, more resources and GTM scale.
Have gotten a few inquiring minds - what happened to Nikesh? Why is he suddenly active on Twitter? I have to credit my friend @HarryStebbings for it. When we did the podcast he said podcasts allow you to take control of your own narrative, and so does X. "Nikesh - you should try and tweet once a day" if you have something interesting to say, your business will be perceived differently. I "rebuffed him", but then I reflected upon it and promised to give it a try, here's me trying in the last week. Should I continue?
Cybercab at the National Federation of the Blind's Annual Convention in Austin for a hands-on experience of its accessibility features for blind or visually impaired customers For example: – Braille lettering on physical controls

@jawwwn_@60Minutes There is obviously no “degree” you can get from a university that actually teaches you how to make an orbital rocket, as none of the professors know how to do it!
I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and thank you for believing in me to lead the company that has always put you at the center of our work. This is not goodbye. It’s a hello to John and I can’t wait for you to get to know him like I do! 🙏
