@emperor_youtube You might not think it’s goofy or corny but it’s definitely out of place and an odd choice. But I’m with you there regarding aotnr, commend them for their efforts but I have problems with the writing as much as I do with the og ending.

@emperor_youtube he cares for Mikasa deeply, as the same he does with Armin, that’s not the issue here. The issue here is the Eren scene has multiple out of place moments and dialogues (entire chapter does tbf), if this was executed better there wouldn’t be a problem.

@emperor_youtube Now compare that side by side against 139 Eren. With the tone deaf humour and out of place dialogue it’s embarrassing to even pretend they’re even remotely the same. The standard of writing dropped significantly, with the additions to the anime further worsening it.
