@merebortz500 I totally agree, when a brand like Vogue uses AI, it really blurs the lines. It’s exciting but also kind of unsettling. Are we pushing boundaries or just replacing the human touch?
AI technologies simplify creative expression, but they also run the risk of mixing aesthetic voice unless people add their own viewpoint. This shows how AI is changing creativity and interpretation. #RUVirtualSU25#RutgersDCIM
New GPT update allows anyone to create in seconds what takes me (an artist known for Ghibli inspired style) days.
To this I say: AWESOME. ACCELERATE THE ART.
I see humans as inherently creative. What matters now? Your vision, not your hand. Style, color, emotion—these become the true artistic currency when manual skills are no longer the gatekeepers.
BUT—have compassion for artists. Many will find commissions and income sources dwindle and change. It has never been more important to support your friends who have been creating art for years, refining abilities which are now being partially abstracted away.
AI is the great access equalizer. Skill remains.
@classgreg2 I totally agree, this feels straight out of Black Mirror. Using AI to constantly watch employees is invasive and dehumanizing. If this became the norm everywhere, it would create a really toxic and controlled work environment.
@kirstarry That’s such a good point. It’s impossible to build “neutral” AI when every system reflects the values of whoever made it. Without a shared global standard, ethical AI will always carry bias.
AI is changing more than jobs, it’s reshaping what skills matter. This connects to Andrejevic’s idea that automation rewires how we think about work and ourselves. #RUVirtualSP25#RutgersDCIM
💡 AI is transforming the global economy!
According to IDC Research, AI will contribute $20 trillion to the economy and 3.5% to global GDP by 2030. But with growth comes change — automation is also set to replace many jobs. Are we ready for the shift? 🤖📉📈
@kaceyylewiss Totally agree, AI affects all of us, so it makes sense that its development should be a shared, global effort. I like how this ties into what Vallor said about bias without strong, inclusive oversight, those issues just get worse
@edmondperezic It makes you wonder how much of it is original thought versus just remixing other people’s work. The plagiarism concern is real, especially in creative or academic settings where originality matters.
This serves as a clear example of the necessity for diverse, reflective teams and continuous ethical supervision, which Vallor strongly advocates for. #RUVirtualSU25#RutgersDCIM
AI can’t be ethical on its own. It reflects the values of the people using it.

This shows an original and considerate use of AI in education, using name recognition to increase the efficiency and inclusivity of commencement. It's a great example of how AI is being used outside of the classroom in authentic academic contexts. #RUVirtualSU25#RutgersDCIM
Colleges are using AI name readers to announce students' names during graduation ceremonies.
Students scan their phones like they're in a checkout line before an AI voice reads their names.
PACE University was seen using the technology during its commencement ceremony.
"Our names are getting read by AI at graduation ... getting the ick at my own graduation," said one student.
"It is AI. We were directly told so! We gave a website spelling and it instantly gave us an audio," said the student.
"PACE told us it was AI ... We had to type out phonetic spelling, then it instantly generated audio for us to preview."
@BingchenLyu I love when celebrities use their fame and power for things that are important to them, especially when it's helping people, and also the climate.
@hurta_elizabeth I love that she's always giving back in any way that she could! Also her being mindful with the Rare Beauty packaging is amazing, it shows how much she cares even about little details. She's iconic
Hailey Bieber is a beauty and lifestyle icon. Rhode is leading in skincare and she's setting trends with her fashion sense as well. She’s built a brand that feels authentic and goes with her lifestyle. #LIDC92 https://t.co/ihODtyAPph
@Milarutgers Hi Milena, I completely agree! Social media has made leadership more interactive, requiring leaders to engage rather than just command. Those who use it to foster trust and open communication will be far more effective in today’s digital world.
@lewis_kace23321 Hi Kacey! Social listening is a vital tool for modern leaders, allowing them to stay informed and engaged. Kahai’s argument about adapting to Web 2.0 is so relevant, leaders can no longer just broadcast messages, they must actively listen and respond.
@Naomi1803467571 Hi Naomi! You make a great point, modern leadership is no longer just about authority but about fostering trust and collaboration, as followers now have the power to shape narratives and hold leaders accountable in real time.
93% of customers think that a CEO's social media presence helps the company convey its principles, build its reputation, and boost leadership in times of crisis. This is consistent with the topics we have covered in class regarding open leadership and fostering trust. #LIDC92
