Last night a 76-year-old man, Trompie Kruger, was brutally assaulted and held up in Kameeldrift-Oos during a violent farm attack.
According to reports, there was a struggle in the kitchen and he was repeatedly struck over the head. His son later described the scene as one where there was blood everywhere, even against the kitchen cupboards.
His wife and family were inside that home while this happened.

Marumo Eric Phenya was a businessman and father who exposed corruption in a government tender.
He raised concerns, received threats, and was later killed.
He was more than a whistleblower! He was a husband and a parent.
Stand with those who speak out. Demand protection. Say his name.

60-year-old Robert Graham Cilliers and his life partner Ansie van Aardt were in bed on their smallholding in Gerardsville, Centurion when armed attackers surprised them and opened fire through the window.
A gunfight broke out as Cilliers tried to defend their home. Both were shot in the head, Graham also between the eyes.
The attackers were heavily armed, "as if they were going to war," according to a close friend.
The couple was killed in cold blood, shot execution style.
MPLA fucked up Angola!

Today I went undercover with my floppy hat to Umhlanga Post Office. They have not had electricity for two years (account not paid), no forms, no computers, no internet or wireless, and can only collect cash money. Quite bizarre and sad to witness another failed state entity.
@JGvanZyl_ZA The Anc general policy has none of the ethical qualities left. A president can lavishly appoint cadres as Zuma has done, in all spheres of the democracy. We cannot afford an Anc president again.
“BUT WHO WILL REPLACE RAMAPHOSA?" — THE STUPIDEST ARGUMENT AGAINST ACCOUNTABILITY
The Constitutional Court matter concerning the impeachment process linked to President Cyril Ramaphosa is far bigger than personalities or party politics. At its core, the case is about constitutional accountability, judicial independence, and whether South Africa still has the institutional courage to hold powerful leaders to account when allegations of misconduct arise. In a constitutional democracy, no president is above the law, and the legitimacy of the state depends on the consistent application of legal principles, not on political convenience or public sentiment.
One of the most irrational arguments often raised in defence of embattled leaders is the question: “But who will replace him?” That argument fundamentally misunderstands constitutional governance. Democracies are not built around indispensable individuals. The Constitution provides mechanisms for succession precisely because public office belongs to the people and not to any one political figure. If the fear of replacement becomes a shield against accountability, then corruption and abuse of power become permanently protected.
The proper legal and moral position is simple: every allegation of corruption, abuse of office, or constitutional misconduct must be assessed on its own merits, irrespective of the status, popularity, or political usefulness of the individual concerned. The same standard must apply equally to presidents, ministers, judges, public officials, and ordinary citizens. Selective accountability destroys public trust and weakens the rule of law.
South Africa’s constitutional project was never intended to create untouchable political elites. It was designed to create a system where institutions are stronger than individuals. Whether one supports or opposes Ramaphosa politically is ultimately irrelevant to the legal principle at stake. The true test for any constitutional democracy is whether it is willing to confront alleged wrongdoing consistently, fairly, and without fear or favour.
Any principled and accountable leader committed to ethical governance, constitutional values, and justice can replace Cyril Ramaphosa.

On Thursday, 7 May 2026, in Rosettenville, Johannesburg, an elderly couple (aged around 80 and 83) was brutally attacked in their home during a savage home invasion.
The grandmother was beaten with a crowbar. Her husband, the grandfather, was stabbed multiple times, is fighting for his life in hospital, and will lose one of his eyes as a result of the injuries.
The couple had recently lost their daughter after caring for her through a long illness. They have no medical aid and now face devastating physical, emotional, and financial trauma.
This is yet another vicious attack on vulnerable White South Africans in their own home.
No mainstream outrage, of course, just silence from the usual suspects.
🇿🇦Jo’burg must appoint/support a leader with deep financial insights as City Manager. Now. We can’t afford to wait for the popular promises contest on 4 November 2026.🇿🇦
This is contempt of court and a not so disguised attempt to influence judges through personal attacks.
As someone without medical aid and who pays for three sets of chronic medications including ARVs, the Minister of Health behaves like a buffoon.
I support a universal public health care system free at the point of service.
The NHI is not that. FULL STOP.

🚨Tshwane’s ANC-led coalition is accused of hiding R4.7 BILLION in unauthorised expenditure by backdating it into an already closed and audited financial year.
The Auditor-General originally flagged R1.2 billion in unauthorised expenditure for 2024/25.
Now, an additional R4.7 billion has suddenly appeared after the audit was closed.
⚠️ R1.5 billion linked to Water and Sanitation
⚠️ R279 million spent on water tankers
⚠️ R334 million linked to Metro Police
⚠️ R147.3 million spent on watchmen services
The Auditor-General has already flagged suspected fraud indicators and possible collusion in Tshwane’s supply chain processes.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Eugene Modise had his salary docked after a forensic investigation found he failed to declare interests linked to a company connected to a controversial R2.9 billion security tender.
These findings would ordinarily trigger serious political consequences.
Yet Modise remains in office while allegations around politically connected contracts and procurement collusion continue to grow.

I know so many will be swearing at me because we don't know how to focus on an issue for what it is. But this is a BEAUTIFUL moment. Helen rose to the occasion. 💯 For the producer and presenter - Gareth and team- this is what we call in television language - Pure gold! NICE👌🏽
Tonight this gang street party was happening in Tafelsig on the Cape Flats. In these videos you can literally hear how gangsters joke and laugh as the SANDF arrives.
Worse part, SAPS didn’t know about the party, where is the intel?!
If it were not for civil society constantly calling and reporting, it would just continue too.
