İki öğretim üyemiz, Avrupa’nın en saygın bilim akademilerinden birine seçildi.

Prof. Dr. Ziya Öniş (Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü) ve Prof. Dr. Tilbe Göksun (Psikoloji Bölümü), farklı disiplinlerden önde gelen bilim insanlarını bir araya getiren ve aralarında Nobel ödüllü araştırmacıların da bulunduğu Academia Europaea üyeliğine kabul edildi.

Bu üyelik, yalnızca akademik mükemmeliyetin değil, aynı zamanda küresel bilim dünyasına yapılan kalıcı katkıların da önemli bir göstergesi.

Prof. Dr. Öniş’in siyasal ekonomi ve küreselleşme alanındaki etkili çalışmaları ile Prof. Dr. Göksun’un psikoloji ve bilişsel bilimlerde, özellikle dil, düşünme ve iletişim üzerine öncü araştırmaları bu önemli üyeliğe layık görülmelerinde belirleyici oldu.

Bu başarı aynı zamanda Koç Üniversitesi’nin uluslararası araştırma ekosistemindeki güçlü konumunu da yansıtıyor.

Two of our faculty members have been elected to one of Europe’s most prestigious scientific academies.

Prof. Dr. Ziya Öniş (Department of International Relations) and Prof. Dr. Tilbe Göksun (Department of Psychology) have joined Academia Europaea—an invitation-only academy that brings together leading scholars from across disciplines, including many Nobel laureates.

This distinction recognizes not only academic excellence, but also lasting contributions to global scholarship.

Prof. Dr. Öniş’s influential work on political economy and globalization, and Prof. Dr. Göksun’s pioneering research in psychology and cognitive science—particularly on language, thinking, and communication—have been instrumental in this recognition.

Their election also reflects Koç University’s growing international impact in research.
