RAMADAN CRESCENT SIGHTING UPDATE!
Assalamu alaikum,
His Eminence has confirmed the sighting of the Ramadan crescent in Nigeria and has declared that tomorrow, February 18th, will mark the beginning of Ramadan 1447.
The Sultanate received reports of Ramadan crescent sightings from three different locations within Nigeria, and these claims were confirmed by the authorities in the respective areas where the sightings were reported. His Eminence is currently abroad, and an official announcement will soon be made by the Shehu of Borno, who is the deputy president general of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
Ramadan mubarak 🌙
Bandits that even Nigerian soldiers sometimes retreat from are the same ones you think would just stand by and let local vigilantes burn them alive? These guys really have no idea how ruthless bandits are.
You and I both know that no terrorist would sit idly while being burned alive without fighting back, and we all know that those travelers were not bandits, if they had been the actual bandits, it would not have ended that way. Bandits are killers and do not move around unarmed. They are heavily armed with sophisticated weapons and are never afraid to use them, not even against our own soldiers, let alone a local vigilante group.
What happened in Uromi was a cowardly act of collective barbarism rooted in ignorance and hate.
If you cannot find it in you to demand justice for those murdered innocent travelers, then the least honorable thing you can do is remain silent. But to go further and try so hard to paint them as bandits is a grave injustice.
I just had a conversation with a committee member at the palace who confirmed there is a positive sighting report, and His Eminence will issue an announcement soon. Eid Mubarak

LOOK FOR PROMISING YOUNG TALENTS AND INVEST IN THEM.
10 years ago, Fidelity Bank placed a bet on Allen Onyema and his Air Peace brand, when most banks stayed away from touching the airline.
Air Peace was a small airline—not this big, so you can't blame the banks that stayed away.
Despite their size and smallness, Fidelity Bank chose to stick with Allen Onyema.
This is what Fidelity did for Allen Onyema.
They provided him with funding to buy his new aircraft from Boeing.
Sometimes the amount in question could run up to $1 billion, but it does not matter; the bank will look for it and guarantee Allen that the transaction will proceed.
There was a time when Allen Onyema signed an agreement with Boeing for 10 new aircraft.
Guess who provided the funding? Fidelity bank.
Fidelity Bank provided the funds required for Air Peace's growth and expansion.
Air Peace has scaled up and is now the largest airline in West Africa.
They were no longer the small airlines they were 10 years ago.
Allen Onyema has not forgotten this favour, so he has kept faith in Fidelity Bank by choosing to bank with them even in the face of multiple choices.
When it comes to cash flow, no airline in Nigeria today comes close to Air Peace in terms of daily turnover and liquidity.
We are talking about an airline that generates between 50 and 100 million naira daily, according to unofficial estimates.
Banks love businesses with this type of liquidity and healthy cash flow, but even if you pitch Allen Onyema to open an account with you, he will casually tell you that he is okay with the value and service Fidelity Bank is providing for him.
This is why, when you go to Air Peace's website to book your flight, you send the money to Fidelity Bank when it is time for payment.
The lesson from this is simple.
Invest in people.
Invest in relationships.
Take a bet on promising young people, even when it is not convenient.
Take an interest in people's lives and see how you can contribute to their growth and scale.
And I'm a witness to this.
In 2016, I met one unknown young boy in the street of Allen Avenue, Ikeja.
I called him by his name, Gaius Chibueze, and he was shocked that I knew him.
He was in the news at the time that he was visiting his Facebook friends, so I decided to share his news on this page without expecting anything in return after our meeting.
I saw a young boy who was hungry to create a brand for himself.
8 years after our meeting, Gaius still showers me with gifts, and those include random 1 million alerts all the time.
I'm not sure if there's anything I could ask him to do for me that he'd say no to.
I didn't consider charging him for his story at the time, but I did it for him free of charge because I felt compelled to.
We live in a world where people want to know what you are bringing to the table before they take an interest in your life, but life does not always work like that.
