Funny criticism. The New Testament is largely made up of writings and testimonies from people describing what they heard, witnessed, and understood. Christians regularly learn from pastors, theologians, and biblical scholars. So mocking someone for seeking clarification from a scholar seems inconsistent. What matters is whether the explanation is sound, not the fact that it came from a teacher.
Malami ne kai ko Ɗalibi? Malama ko Ɗaliba? Don Allah spare few minutes and listen to this till end.
The truth and nothing but the truth. Allah Ya sa mu faɗaka.🤲
~ Assoc. Prof. Abdulƙadir Ismaili Kabara, BUK.
Sometimes I sit quietly and ask myself some hard questions: Would I still speak up against this atrocity if someone close to me were responsible for it? If the answer is no, then I have to question my own sincerity.
I faced this very dilemma when someone I was close to was part of the country’s security leadership. It wasn’t an easy position to be in, but it taught me the importance of being consistent with one’s principles.
Many of us are quick to call out injustice when it happens in sectors or institutions we have no connection to. But when the same injustice occurs within a sector we lead, support, or identify with, suddenly the blame shifts elsewhere and excuses begin to appear.
There is a need for all of us to reflect deeply and ask ourselves these uncomfortable questions. Justice, accountability, and truth should not depend on who is involved or whose interests are affected.
