@saurabhg Yeah i think that’s a flaw in the architecture: the lifecycle of the controller and the view are not the same. All because of the early days where views could unload, but we’re stuck with it unfortunately

@saurabhg 99% of the time when viewDidLoad is called, you will be added to the hierarchy so people really on that by setting the first responder for example. Also, how often do you instantiate a view controller, load its view and then discard the controller again?

@saurabhg Always seen a bit of an arhcitectural failure tho that the view controller and view have different life cycles
