I really wanted to like The Season since it was meant to be breezy, exotic, and full of rich people antics. But the intern wasn’t fresh faced, the mentor didn’t seem seasoned, the handbags weren’t impressive, and worst, there was an accent that made no sense given the context.
Is it weird that I’m about to watch Six, about the six wives of Henry VIII, and pulled cards with 2 queens and 4 swords? And how odd is it that 2 of the queens were beheaded and this deck shows human bodies that transition to birds at the neck?
My girl smells amazing when she wakes up from a long nap and I have never understood Jean-Baptiste Grenouille’s obsession with capturing an in situ scent until now. I wish there was a way to bottle it because it is better than any perfume on the market.
What is with the recent deaths of little known young-ish actors in things I have watched during the last few months? First it was Christian Oliver from Christmas in Vienna and now it is Adan Canto from The Cleaning Lady. So sad and unexpected.
Last weekend also involved an overnight trip to Lynnwood where I found some flattering sequin tops. My other favourite find was a white faux fur jacket that is perfect for pairing with the cheap sequin dress I found on Taobao. It will be part of my outfit at a party next weekend!
This weekend was at the sister restaurant in Kits and while there were fewer courses, they were more substantial. They were less impressive but did ika nigiri better.
Checked out these not-yet-released extraits today and I’m in love with the gold caps and the garnet hues. It’s too bad the rose centifolia takes on a swampy, musty rotting vegetation personality on my skin.
It turns out the chain belt I had purchased to wear with a dress from the same store is not a belt but a chain strap for handbags. But it was at the belt section and the salesperson didn’t say anything when I tried them on together. Maybe she thought I was crazy. Or creative.
Watching the season 20 Project Runway finale and the designers get to shop anywhere in NYC’s fashion district. So neat to recognize some of the stores I’ve shopped at… Makes me feel like I’m a little bit part of that world.
About to jet off to Lisbon via Montreal. If I don’t find amazing things on this trip, I might get this cute bag when I return. I love how this colour pops.
