@BradOrme @chris_neto I agree that group activities can help, but unfortunately are often sports or drinking focused. Things get more challenging when they are mandatory.
@chris_neto A2 cont: Leaders that are still struggling with this will likely find that remote work has only highlighted existing issues. For those who just mandated things how much effort went into that decision and what does that really say about culture? #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto A1: Using the “Culture” club (pun intended) is the easy out so that leaders can avoid to addressing real issues: boundaries, codependent behaviors, burnout, intolerance, inflation. If employees are pushing back understanding their real reasons should be important. #AVinTheAM
@kylemeans@chris_neto There was a case study presented at a conference back in 2017. Highlights were a highly developed WFH plan paired with ROWE. They also had things like internal news papers that were only available in the office.
@chris_neto Raw numbers are deceptive. Entry positions 70-80% promotion, moving to mgnt its down to 40% and corporate level 85% external hires. At the lowest levels its about growth/potential and highest its about change and new perspectives. Many leaders leave for opportunity. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto I would pose these question to employers. Were focus/productivity an issue prior to WFH? Are there accommodations for staff members that are introverted? WFH is not right for everyone but neither was the “bullpen”. It will take balance to solve Hybrid Work challenges #AVinTheAM
@NerdyGirlAV It’s had to tell from the photo the exact model the cew is using but it appears to be a modified genie lift. Though even using a lift one would expect to see a second ladder.
@chris_neto There are 3 types of users Android, Apple, and those who just want it to work. You can have perfect automation but a 5min wait it might be to much. The users tech savy and needs should always drive the automation requirements. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto Knowing our limitations keeps people safe. Know the experts that are needed and hire/team with them. When safety is not factor, sure go out of the comfort zone and grow. Use support from manufactures or hire a specialist to consult if needed. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto Employers need to respect PTO. If an employee doesn’t feel they can use PTO that is a cultural problem. Employees who have overtime before and after PTO are an indication things are broken, because not having a plan when an employee goes on PTO is a leadership failure. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto A few more esoteric ones for the designers & engineers. Great way to stay on top of codes & best practices.

@jacobyaudio @PKaudiovisual It really depends on what criteria were used to vet the comparison and by whom. An accurate comparison will provide more than a yes/no answer, and should be looking at all features and specifications. Reading the fine print is important.
