In its mission to map out the #DarkUniverse, #ESAEuclid will image hundreds of thousands of distant galaxies 💫

For the next six years, the spacecraft is expected to send around 100 GB of data back to Earth every day! 🤯

That’s a lot of data, and we need your help to train Artificial Intelligence models to classify the shapes of galaxies as seen by Euclid 💡

This is #Oulu, Finland, where the original cycling network was designed and built in the 1970s. The network provides uninterrupted connections, mostly in peaceful environment and separated from car traffic.

@PauliVaisanen Kyllähän se juuri on noissa antoisaa, että tulee perehdyttyä hyvin aiheisiin jotka menee hieman oman mukavuusalueen ulkopuolellekin. Se taas sitten turhauttaa jos samasta asiasta saa vääntää monta kierrosta kirjoittajien kanssa ja uusiakin arviointeja tulee päälle.

Ensimmäiset Euclidin kuvat tähtitaivaasta on saatu. "Ne antavat esimakua mahdollisuuksista lähiuniversumin tutkimiseen. Jo näistä kuvista löytyy valtava määrä ennen havaitsemattomia himmeitä galakseja”, tutkijamme @AVenhola kertoo.
