@DarkBeginRyxku There isnt even a new brainrot Game that has many Players since the new engaged 500 player update. Its all old games made before that update
@abhi_developerz The Game is just ass… Its literally a copy of slime rng so people wont put time into this. People who play rng are grinding on the Top Games that have the biggest playerbase
@tallcowyt Are you actually stupid? First all of this has nothing to do with having many gamepasses. Second as long as the game shows you exactly what Chance you have to get a pet its your decision if you want to Risk that and spend money.
One of my friends had his game completely taken off the Roblox algorithm because of Roblox's most recent update.
From 30 CCU straight to 0. Small developers are ruined. With very few games, this was absolutely detrimental to his income.
This wasn't just some low-effort slop either. There was plenty of effort put into level design. People loved the game. Just because it's a small game, doesn't mean it's bad, and it doesn't mean it should be completely abolished from the algorithm.
Roblox has constantly taken heat for bad changes recently, especially targeted towards developers. I've defended a lot of these changes despite community backlash. But this one is bad - possibly the WORST change Roblox has made in years.
It might be time to start moving away from Roblox.

Really hope they talk with some respected community members and reconsider this. This feels like an absolute killshot to newer creators trying to break into the platform.
A huge number of today’s top creators got where they are by being able to build communities across all kinds of age groups. Requiring developers to hit a threshold like this just to unlock access to nearly 80% of the audience is an insane expectation, especially when even many AA studios struggle to consistently maintain 500 to 1000 active paying players.

@pietrofarenzena Yes I just really hope they will revert this requirement or at least lower it to 100 because 100 verified would be more than enough to verify the game is legit. 500 is just crazy not to forget that roblox is mostly Played by Kids and now they make releasing Kids Games impossible
These are the things I'd recommend to fix the "Highly Engaged Players" Roblox Update:
Facts:
- Roblox target audience is majority kids
- Forcing a game to get players from outside the target audience to "approve" the game is a major logic issue
Roblox is either legally required to make these changes or they are doing this due to the rumored botting problem..
My recommend changes:
- Lower 16+ to 13+
- Lower 500 to 50 engaged players
- Have the algorithm prioritize games with engaged players rather than not letting people play at all
With these recommended changes, new games by young developers will have a much better chance of succeeding. What you do guys think?
@robloxdevrel@Roblox #RobloxUpdate
It’s gone up by 10 🙃
Despite being up 10,000 visits
and btw, “Highly engaged players” are based on their platform stats, so your game stats have no impact
@pietrofarenzena The big Problem is that the 500 Users need to be also verified with id. And from the 25-35m Daily Users 16+ I would guess only a Small amount did it. Probably Not Even 10%…
@Mettroe@nou84776089@Roblox_UGs No you are wrong. You Need roblox plus or 1000 robux AND the 500 highly engaged Users. A lot of people tested already and some spent over 300$ on ads to just reach around 200/500
ROBLOX, THESE ARE ALL THE GAMES YOU ARE LEAVING BEHIND WITH YOUR AMAZING UPDATE! EVERY GAME POSTED ON THE PAGE, ALL OF THEM. PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR UPDATE.
A few days ago, Roblox released a "Highly Engaged Players" requirement, which is a system that uses factors like play history, account age, etc.. to verify authentic users.
In this example, ~$370 in spend only resulted in 70/500 eligible players which is horrible.
Rcently checked my Roblox dashboard and on roughly 150 games I have access to, I saw ~25 games meeting that requirement. Keep in mind that those 150 games have at least a good amount of CCU (50-100+).
I have never seen such a horrid change. This serves no purpose at all and is made solely to kill games. I decided to speak on it hoping to convice other fellow creators to do the same and make this useless update go in the trash.
Roblox, please refrain from actually pushing this update. 🙏

I do not say this lightly, but this new policy for games may actually kill what makes Roblox so wonderful for indie development. This platform is supposed to be a low barrier to entry for creating a game and reaching an audience. Hope things get better 🙏
Roblox telling developers they need 500 highly engaged users before their game can grow is like telling a startup they need customers before they can advertise.
Changes like this only make it harder for small developers to succeed on the platform.
For one of our brand new games we just launched I have spent $370 on ads and we only have 70 out of 500, despite having 30k+ visits.
The average dev is genuinely cooked 💀
