Average minds discussing life as we know it. Change is needed. But people are holding that change back. Let’s talk about how we get back on the same page.
@juanblanco76 If you have no confidence in self you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence you have won even before you have started. - Marcus Garvey
@Longestday1 I will say. I live in a nice apartment home. I’ve worked hard to get here. My neighbor has 3 kids. Part time job. BMW. And rent is covered by a gov program. That really does make me angry
@Longestday1 Well said! Oddly one of my greatest accomplishments is that I will be getting married before having kids. Some of my olds friends who unfortunately got stuck in the cycle back home. The resources are definitely there if you search for them. Problem is some don’t know they exist
@Longestday1 Definitely poor decision making mixed with lack of resources and proper education. Also need to consider that some of these people just don’t know any better or any other way to bring themselves out of poverty. It’s all a viscous cycle.
@Longestday1 See I don’t think anyone grows up wanting to be a single parent just to feed off of the government. Especially today. Where I agree the system needs to be rethought to temporary assistance to get people back on their feet I disagree that the programs reward single parent hood.
@Longestday1 Myself as an example. Leftist Christian (yes that’s possible). Family is important to “me”. Getting married soon. Kids will come when we can afford to have them. Years from now. I assume that the programs that destroy family are those referring to abortions?
@Longestday1 The media I can see doing these things. But don’t you think it’s a large stretch to assume that the “Left” and “socialist” don’t carry their own religious beliefs and values on family and children?
In 24 hours I’m going to give one random person that retweets this tweet $10,000 in Bitcoin! (Yup, gonna experiment with this instead of cash haha) Make sure you follow me so I can dm you if you win :)
@besf0rt For anyone claiming that homelessness is a choice. I urge you to actually speak with someone who is homeless. Or maybe volunteer at a homeless shelter. Then you can state your opinion. Not all homeless people are druggies. No homeless person wants to sleep on the side of a road
@SayNo2SocialMed My options already suck. Honestly can’t get much worse. Barely even choice. I choose a plan.. can only get the best benefit by choosing in network..
