@DBM_18WING@Missuta_T_0 The developers of the f16v mod did for a fact rip and decrypt the .EDM file to gain access to the 3D model of the F-16 cockpit there isnt any evidence that could disprove that
@DBM_18WING@Missuta_T_0 You do not understand how ripping an asset works.
there no code being decrypted no inner workings being looked at this is simple the model file itself being converted from a encrypted file format you cannot open it in a program like blender to a file you can opened in blender
@Wyvern613@eagledynamics Oh jeez I’ve only been playing dcs sense 2010…….. it’s almost like I’ve seen this hole circus three times over… this is literally the f16 all over again
The F-35 isn’t just another module. It could be a catalyst for addressing some of DCS’s biggest underlying simulation shortcomings. If you’re a fan of full-fidelity aircraft, that’s something worth being excited about.
I think people fundamentally misunderstand how the F-35 could benefit DCS as a whole.
DCS has long-standing issues with radar modelling, RCS, electronic warfare, detection and tracking, data links, and the way these systems interact.
If ED wants to do the F-35 justice, these systems need to be represented far more accurately. Improvements to them could benefit practically every aircraft in DCS, not just the F-35.
@Wyvern613@eagledynamics If you are too thick, headed to understand the benefits of adding an aircraft like the f35 then maybe this is the wrong sim for you
@Wyvern613@eagledynamics That is quite literally the point of adding the f35…
ED will not publish the f35 without the core changes made to simulate the aircraft the as a hole
these are long-standing issues ED is very aware of them the f35 is they’re way of opening the door for these core changes
It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Matt Wagner, who left us on September 7th after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
I will miss his soft voice, our daily calls, and his joy for what he did.
Clear skies, my friend.
